Peter Krause and Hope Davis star in Line of Fire, the new NBC drama set to debut this fall in the United States. The network has scheduled the premiere for Monday, September 21, 2026, at 10 PM Eastern Time.

The pilot will air on NBC, followed by a release on Peacock the next day. For the French audience, no local availability has been announced: it’s better to stick to this American schedule for now.

A family working close to danger

Line of Fire follows the Hollingsworths, a family with several members involved in American protective services. Mike, played by Peter Krause, works for the Secret Service. Jane, portrayed by Hope Davis, is a U.S. Marshal.

The story starts with an investigation that drags this family into a dangerous conspiracy. NBC presents the series as a blend of action thriller and family narrative: the job brings the characters closer to risk, while their private ties complicate every decision.

The series thus keeps a fairly clear promise without revealing its entire plot before the pilot. The murder at the heart of the case and the resulting tensions set the stage; the rest will unfold on screen.

Peter Krause and Hope Davis surrounded by a cast already identified

The Krause-Davis duo is at the center of the project, but NBC has already confirmed several faces around them. Kat Cunning plays Clare, the coupleโ€™s daughter, an FBI agent. Taylor Bloom plays Russ, also in the Secret Service.

Tommy Oโ€™Brien completes the siblings in the role of Mike โ€œMicahโ€ Hollingsworth Jr. Charlie Barnett is also part of the announced cast. This distribution gives a real place to family dynamics instead of reducing the series to a simple weekly investigation.

Peter Krause thus returns in a patriarchal role faced with a field he knows professionally. Hope Davis responds with a character placed in another service, which immediately opens several perspectives on the same case.

A trailer already online before the launch

NBC released the official trailer on August 20. The first images set the tone for the series and introduce the Hollingsworths at a time when a criminal case directly affects their surroundings.

The airing takes place right after the launch of season 30 of The Voice on NBC, according to the schedule announced by the network. This slot gives Line of Fire immediate exposure, without presuming about the future of its programming.

The trailer already allows us to spot the axis connecting the characters: their jobs push them to protect strangers, but the case also forces them to ponder how far they can protect their own family. It is this link between the professional framework and the intimate that the series must establish from the pilot.

Therefore, September 21 will be the first real test for this new Monday night appointment. Between Peter Krause, Hope Davis, and an entire family involved in protective services, Line of Fire has a more precise identity than its very generic title might suggest.

Broadcast and casting information can be found on the official NBC presentation.
