Intervilles is off to a strong start for its return to France 2!
The long-awaited return ofIntervilles on France 2 was a huge hit Thursday night with over 3.3 million viewers. This impressive score puts the show at the top of the ratings charts with a 22% market share. Nagui and his team of hosts clearly succeeded!
Intervilles establishes itself as the essential summer entertainment.
The formula forIntervilles hasn’t aged a day: wacky challenges, spectacular falls, and a healthy dose of good humor. On Thursday night, Coulanges-lรจs-Nevers triumphed over Beauvais after a series of challenges that were as funny as they were physical.
France Tรฉlรฉvisions has pulled out all the stops for this return, with four evenings scheduled this summer. A bold gamble for this format created in 1962 by Guy Lux, which hadn’t been broadcast regularly since 2009.
A top-notch team of hosts
Nagui surrounded himself with a dream team: Valรฉrie Bรจgue, Camille Cerf, Magali Ripoll, and Bruno Guillon to co-host. Yoann Riou, as an impartial referee, managed to keep the pace despite some criticism of the show’s tempo. Viewers, however, regretted the absence of the legendary cows, and some found the sets a little flimsy. But the essentials were there: laughter, sports, and conviviality. Ratings: the competition left behind
With its 3.3 million viewers, Intervilles largely dominated the schedule. TF1 and its “Dinner for Cons” only attracted 2.9 million viewers, while M6 struggled to reach 1 million with “Arnaques!”.
The magic of the summer games still works, especially when they are driven by simple values: fair play, good humor, and a competitive spirit. France 2 has clearly found its flagship program for summer evenings.
Next match: Gap vs. Bourgoin-Jallieu Join us on Thursday, July 10th, for a new duel between Gap and Bourgoin-Jallieu. The Hautes-Alpes and Isรจre regions will face off in what promises to be an epic battle. With only four episodes scheduled, each show becomes an event. Producers have an interest in keeping the pace to maintain peak audiences.
A format that evolves but retains its soul
The new opening credits have raised eyebrows, but the spirit of
Intervilles
remains intact. The cult events are still there: slippery slopes, perilous climbs, and guaranteed falls.
Le Parisien described this return as “sluggish,” but the numbers speak for themselves. When nearly one in four viewers chooses your program, the magic still works.
