Failed season 2: Has Netflix renewed the series with Alexandre Kominek?

After the eight episodes of Recalé, one question keeps coming up among Netflix subscribers: Will Eddy resume his role as an undercover teacher? Has the series with Alexandre Kominek already been renewed for a season 2?

The answer remains no at the time of this check. Netflix has announced neither the renewal of Recalé, nor filming, nor a release date for a second season.

Netflix still displays only one season

The official page of Recalé on Netflix presents the series as a 2026 comedy consisting of eight episodes. It offers only one season and has no mention of a sequel in preparation.

The details of the catalog go in the same direction. Netflix highlights only a trailer titled Season 1, followed by the list of the eight episodes, with their titles and durations. No season 2 tab, teaser, bonus, or renewal statement accompanies this presentation.

This absence does not allow us to affirm that the series is abandoned. It simply describes the public state of the Netflix page at the time of the check. A decision could still be made later, but it should not be presented as certain before an announcement.

The platform summarizes the story around Eddy, a math genius turned petty crook. To avoid prison, he infiltrates a high school with a new identity as a teacher. His mission is to find the child of a notorious criminal.

The status of the first season and its cast are detailed in our presentation of Recalé, its episodes, and its story. This page remains the reference for finding the starting point of the series, not an announcement of season 2.

Alexandre Kominek is confirmed for season 1

Netflix associates Alexandre Kominek with the lead role of Eddy. Laurence Arné and Leslie Medina are also included in the cast listed on the French page, while François Uzan is credited with the creation.

This information confirms the cast of the available season. They say nothing about a return in a potential sequel. No new character, change of school, or extension of the investigation can therefore be presented as an element of season 2.

The search in the official spaces consulted from Netflix does not reveal any announcement dedicated to Recalé season 2. The Tudum pages, About Netflix, and Netflix Media Center do not provide usable confirmation for this title as of the date of the check.

No release date announced

Without official renewal, Netflix cannot provide a broadcast schedule for Recalé season 2. A date circulating on a third-party site would remain a hypothesis until the platform or production confirms it.

The success of a series can fuel anticipation, but it does not replace a production decision. A new episode order is still needed, a potential filming schedule, and then a broadcast window. None of these steps are announced here.

The next reliable signal would be an update of the Netflix page, an official statement, or a clear remark attributed to the production. As long as nothing of this nature appears, Recalé season 2 remains possible, but it is not confirmed, and Alexandre Kominek is not announced to return in the role of Eddy.
